MEGAMENDUNG and KAMAIRICHA

Wednesday 25 November 2015 from 6pm to 10pm

The batik meets the art of tea.

Event dedicated to… clouds and longevity, with an exposition of Cirebon batik, originated in the area of the Java Island, characterized by the traditional megamendung pattern that represents rain clouds – symbols of water, fertility and abundance, in the Indonesian culture. For the occasion, ArtedelRicevere, an Italian brand of precious teas founded in Milan in 2002, will offer a tea tasting of kamairicha, a rarity from Japan. Its spiral-shaped leaves resemble clouds which – in the Taoist tradition – recall the form of Lingzhi, the sacred fungus, symbol of longevity.
